Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, secure, automate, and support our Azure environment while ensuring alignment with the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft security and compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Perform patching, backup, restore, and routine operational maintenance.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and standard configurations using Bicep-based Infrastructure as Code (provided by the Architecture team).
• Monitor and respond to incidents using Azure Monitor, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and the Microsoft 365 security stack.Implement and maintain Azure Policies, RBAC, and Key Vault.Support cloud security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and operations.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
• Knowledge of Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring, incident management, backup/recovery, and patch management.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
